Recent Work and Creative Moments at Zed

Whipping up a frenzy!
We recently supported GB Railfreight - one of the UK’s leading rail freight operators - with the high-profile launch of the Class 99, a new locomotive that runs on electricity and renewable fuels.
A seismic moment for the industry, key figures including the Minister of State attended the unveiling at its state-of-the-art East Midlands hub. To mark the moment, we were commissioned to produce a video to play out on the large screen that heightened the drama, showcasing this huge step for sustainable railfreight.
It’s great to work with clients who aren’t afraid to take a risk. Using the new locomotive as a flake in a cornet might have sent a shiver down the spine of many execs, but the reaction to our promotion of the 99s (the ice cream variety) that were given out to the sweltering crowd told its own story!

‘Quite possibly the most ingenious marketing idea at the Class 99 launch today.’
‘An exemplary demonstration of how collaboration can work its socks off and really deliver.’
‘Genius. Well done.’

Making a splash!
One of the exciting parts of any project is seeing our work out in the big, wide world!
After spending months checking ligatures, kerning and agonising over what percentage of cyan would work best, the creative leaves the studio and you move on. So we loved seeing our identity for the 250th anniversary of the Royal Thames Yacht Club proudly displayed on and off-the water at its spectacular, celebratory regatta in Cowes.

The Power of Print
We were told many, many years ago that print was dead, dismissed to the pages of history with screens taking over the world. But has the swing gone too far? Our clients are seeing the huge benefits of having something tangible in the hand, with high dwell times and engagement in a world of short attention spans and digital overload.
Over the last few months alone, we have produced magazines for a whole host of clients, including the global engine giant, Cummins; The Royal Air Force Club; GB Railfreight; the Royal Over-Seas League, the Oxford and Cambridge Club, the Hurlingham Club…. I could go on.
Long live print!

Taking Paradise to New Heights
Master of house grooves, global superstar DJ Jamie Jones has landed his biggest Ibiza residency yet, at the island’s newest and largest superclub, UNVRS.
As his tour continues throughout Europe and America, we’ve been right there, keeping fans in the loop with the latest lineup drops, from social media announcements to bold billboards.
It’s been an incredible privilege to be part of his trusted team, bringing the Jamie Jones experience to fans across the globe.
Summer Fun
We recently took time out to recharge our creativity with a mindful, nature-based photography workshop.
We explored how cameras are designed to mimic the way our eyes see, but the best camera is our mind; constantly scanning and focusing only when something catches our attention. Taking a slow, sensory walk, we practiced truly looking before we shoot.
But things then turned competitive, and we went out on our social channels to for help in judging who took the best picture. Congratulations Susie and Nic!

xt Up, Hong Kong!
Next Up, Hong Kong!
Matthew and Lee will be jetting out to Hong Kong for a week in September to work on a huge, new project for one of our long-standing clients. We’ll report back!
Have a great rest of the summer!
